Self Energy has strong experience of supplying, installing and financing photovoltaic (PV) panels in publicly and privately owned buildings. We have worked extensively delivering projects ranging from 20kW to 5MW throughout Europe, focusing on member states where the Feed-in Tariff applies. This Feed-in tariff is a financial incentive to implement, generate and export energy produced from renewable sources, including PV.
In the UK, the Feed-in Tariff focuses on the ability to generate electricity (up to 36.1p/kWh for 4kW-10kW PV systems). The tariff is guaranteed for 25 years for PV, and applies to all new projects. Further to this, the building owner would reduce the requirement of 100% electricity reliance from the grid, leading to reduced costs and reduced risk of power outages.
