Self Energy to collaborate with London South Bank University to reduce risk further in energy performance projects

Self Energy is delighted to announce a Knowledge Transfer Partnership agreement with the London South Bank University (LSBU).

One aspect of this partnership will be to provide a role within Self Energy for a Sustainable Energy Performance Systems Developer, a full-time appointment for a fixed 3 year term for an individual that the LSBU will sponsor simultaneously through a Masters programme.

KTP supports partnerships between business and universities, placing up and coming leaders of tomorow (KTP Associates) for 2 or more years, to work on challenging, high-profile projects. London South Bank University is one of the leading academic partners, with substantial experience of supporting successful KTP partnerships with a wide range of companies.

This opportunity to work with the management team to reduce the investment risk for Self Energy will develop decision support tools and further improve cost and savings forecasts for their clients. Based in the UK, this project will also involve the developer working with other international offices.

The developer will work full-time at the company, but will be employed by London South Bank University, encompassing a generous training package, university and company supervision, the opportunity to enroll for a fully sponsored higher degree and the potential to develop a permanent position with the company.

Paul Lewis, CEO, Self Energy UK, commented: "We are excited to be working in such close collaboration with LSBU who are well known as an academic leader of low carbon solutions for the built environment.  I have no doubt the new role will bring substantial benefits to the individual, to us and to LSBU."
