Self Energy provides bespoke integrated energy solution within complex existing infrastructure

Location: Bodmin, Cornwall.

Client aspirations: To decrease onsite carbon emissions and energy bills.

Design and delivery:

Self Energy, having evaluated infrastructure through site visits and environment analysis, designed an individually-tailored solution that integrates with existing land use, energy demand and space availability.

Self Energy always leads with a client-central approach and designs context-specific energy solutions.

Therefore, while roofs are the most conventional locations for a photovoltaic installation, the abundance of land and the energy use profile within the property led Self Energy to engage its engineering expertise to deliver a ground-mounted system.

During system build, the rocky terrain presented a challenge to ground-drilling. Innovatively, groundscrews were secured by employing the durable and robust qualities of a cement-based structure.

Our electrical expertise was deepened through working with a split-phased electricity distribution system.

Project facts:

Project Commencement: 8th August 2011
